Sonni’s practice focuses on government procurement, contracts, grants and preference programs such as Buy Ohio, MBE and EDGE. She is also well-versed in Ohio’s equal opportunity in construction program, as well as public records and ethics laws. Sonni has nearly 20 years of experience with competitive selection (ITBs, RFQs, and RFPs for goods, services and information technology systems), state term schedules, direct contracts and negotiating and drafting contract terms and conditions.
Sonni provided legal advice to the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (the state’s contracting agency) for over 12 years. She received her Juris Doctor Degree in 1993 from the Franklin Thomas Backus School of Law at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She is licensed in Ohio. Sonni received her Bachelor of Arts from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, in 1990. She spends her free time with her husband, Greg, and their two children. Sonni is of-counsel to the firm.
