Mark Peterson practices in the areas of general business law, real estate law, securities, banking, contracts and general commercial transactions. He also regularly assists clients in the resolution of business-related disputes. Mark has over 20 years of experience representing clients in complex business and real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships; the formation, capitalization and organization of closely-held businesses; public securities offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities; and commercial loan transactions. He also counsels clients in the acquisition, sale, leasing and development of commercial and residential real estate.
Mark obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, with a major in accounting, from The Ohio State University in 1985. Prior to attending law school, he was employed by an international accounting firm where he was involved in the auditing of multinational oil and gas companies.
Mark received his Juris Doctor degree in 1989 from the Franklin Thomas Backus School of Law at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association and is active in various community affairs. Mark and his wife Karen reside in Dublin with their daughter Kate. When Mark is not busy with the practice of law, he enjoys snow skiing, scuba diving and activities with his family. |
