John Gerboth practices in the areas of personal bankruptcy, labor and employment law, domestic relations and compliance matters. John has handled numerous domestic matters including divorce, dissolution and custody as well as serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem. He has represented both employers and employees in hearings before the Ohio Industrial Commission and the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Review Commission. Additionally, John has presented and written on such topics as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. His current interests include social media use in the workplace and multiple chemical sensitivity law.
John earned his B.A. from Wittenberg University and his J.D. Magna Cum Laude from Capital University Law School, where he was a member of the Capital University Law Review and the National Moot Court Team. John is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Ohio Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
John is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Columbus, where he has served as congregational president. When not practicing law, John enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three girls.
